Moon Picnic has collaborated with Erzi, German makers of wonderful wooden toy food to create this beautiful set of 12 wooden bird eggs, lathe-turned from solid beech wood and hand-painted. Gather the eggs in the adorable handmade rattan basket.
The eggs are based on chicken, turkey, duck, goose and quail as well others inspired by wild bird eggs. They make a lovely sensory toy – perfect little hands to hold to feel the warmth of the wood, observe the colours and speckles, different sizes and curves; to roll, sort and count. Use them as imaginative play set or darling decoration for a room. It's a super opportunity to talk about nature and birds' life cycles.
